Prima Flirty Fleur

I love Prima products and today I have a layout using Prima's Flirty Fleur collection. The picture is of me on my wedding day over 40 years ago, The original pictures have yellowed, so I decided to make it black and white. And I think it pairs with Flirty Fleur nicely. I added lace and pearls and lots of prima flowers. Some were originally white and I sprayed them with teal Color Bloom from Prima. There's a bit of gesso on the flowers including the wooden flowers. Flower centers were from my stash. There's a chipboard dress form from Dusty Attic. I think I added everything but the kitchen sink! But it was fun. Here's the layout:

Valentine's Day and Cricut

Today I have a few simple Valentine's Day cards to show you. I made them with my Cricut maker and they are very easy to make. I didn't want the traditional square card. I still have shaped cards that my grandmother would send me for Easter. Some are crosses and some are eggs. I still love them. So now I am starting the same tradition with my grandchildren. I shared what I used in design space, so if you like what you see, head on over to design space and type in my name. Here they are:

Let it Bee Tag Set

 If you saw my previous post, I created a scrapbook page with the beautiful "Let It Bee" collection by Graphic 45. Today I have a tag set to show you using that very same collection. 

For the first tag, I did a lot of fussing cutting to cut out the sunflower and beehive from the cards in the collection. I cut strips of paper and glued to the top and bottom of the tag. Added a few stickers and a flower and I loved how it turned out! 

For the second tag, I again cut strips of paper and adhered to the top and bottom of the tag. I used some chipboard from my stash and painted it black. I used stickers from the collection and popped out the center using pop dots. Added a few flowers from my stash and it was finished.

For the third tag I used a circle I had leftover from the layout in the previous post. It's the circle from the center of the flower that is on top of the photo. Anyway I put most of it on one side, and with what was left, I tucked under on the other side. I punched a strip and then cut it into pieces and glued to the circles. I cut the "Don' Worry Bee Happy" from one of the cards, added a backing and glued to the tag. Add a few flowers and your done.

 

For the last tag, I wanted to add a banner. I fussy cut it. Then added strip of paper. Layered a sticker, added a flower and it was super easy and cute!

I still have more paper from this collection, so there may be more Let It Bee coming! Well that's all for now folks!

Bee Yourself

If you love Graphic 45 paper collections, then the "Let it Bee" collection will not disappoint. I knew I had the perfect photo for this collection and I think it turned out great.

For the red frame I used my Fiskars paper trimmer which has measurements on the sliding bar. I cut from 1 1/2 inches to 10 1/2 inches all the way around.

I punched 12 inch strips and glued them on the inside of the frame so that only the punched shape shows. I mitered the corners of the punched strips with scissors. 

The bee hive chipboard is an old one from Dusty Attic. The flower chipboard, also old, was made by Scenic Route. I used Nuvo's Ebony black for the pearls on the Chipboard flower.

Christmas Emporium Cards

 Hello again! Thank you for stopping by my blog. Enjoy your stay, and if you like what you see, please hit that follow button on the left side of my blog. Okay lets get started. As the title suggests I am going to show you some cards I made with Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium collection. Now some of these cards are pretty basic, but to tell you the truth I had a really hard time with this collection. I don't know if my mojo was on vacation or if the papers were not singing to me. At any rate, I did manage a few cards. I plan on making another set of these, but for now I wanted to let you have a look.

The picture above is a trifold shutter card. I created the file for this card on my Cricut. I thought the stamps that came with the collection were perfect for this card. 

Now here is where it's pretty basic. I cut out the postcard sized picture and started layering until it was the size I wanted. I added some punching at the bottom, some twine and a button and your done.

For this card it was more of the same. Cut out the picture and layer. I added some paper to the sides and topped with beads. I then cut out a smidgen of holly leaves. By this time I was getting tired of the black, so for the next card I changed to a tan like brown.

Again more layering and I did add some layered rectangles to the sides. What do you think about the tan? Should I have used the black instead?

Now this is my favorite, the easel card! I love how it turned out.

Botanical Tea Layout

The picture of my mother-in-law was perfect for this collection. This is the day of her homecoming dance and she is the queen. The flowers she received that day make this layout shine. 

Obviously, I fussy cut the flowers from the collection. I am not the best at this, but I did the best job I possibly could.  I love how it turned out. here it is:

Portrait of a Lady and Me

It's Christmas in July

 Today I have a Christmas layout to share with you because it's Christmas in July! For this layout I used the the Christmas Carol collection by Graphic 45. Its a pretty basic layout. Nothing too complicated except for the liquid pearls. Speaking of the liquid pearls, since it has been so long since I scrapped, they did not come out the way I would have liked. They are old so I get what I get. Well on to the sneak peeks.

As you can see I did use the Chipboard set from the collection. Actually I bought everything in the collection because I am a Christmas lover, and A Christmas Carol is my favorite Christmas movie! As always there is some punching. I love punches. I could never have enough. This punch is the snowflake punch from Martha Stewart. Last but not least I used the Foliage die set from Spellbinder's. Now for the layout.

Flapper Fancy with G45

Hello! I am back after an extremely long hiatus. Life got in the way, but I am scrapping again! I changed my blog, so everything feels new again. So today I have a layout to share using Graphic 45's Portrait of a Lady collection. Oh my, do I love these exquisite papers! They flow so nicely that I don't think you could go wrong. They are an old collection but if you can find it, grab it! I give credit for the design to Amarylis Doria. It is one of her old sketches. Now how about some sneak peeks first.

For the tails, I cut 1 1/2 inch and 1 inch strips. I folded them and cut at an angle. For the flowers and leaves, I used Spellbinder dies. I will list the numbers below. And all the punches except the scallops were from the Martha Stewart line. Here is the layout:

Be Happy With Blue Fern Studios Timeless Collection

Happy Thursday! I'm back with another layout. This time I used a precious picture of my granddaughter. As the post title says, I used the Blue Fern Studios Timeless paper collection. Let me tell you, it is gorgeous!! I actually took the time to use some Tim Holtz ink and a sponge on this page. I love the look more than splattering something with mist/spray. It's a little time consuming but so is trying to flatten a page after spraying. Anyway, here is the layout:

I cut four cards from the paper and layered under the photo. I wanted to see all the designs and flowers. I then inked and added a few round pieces from Prima's Salvage District Ephemera. The tails were cut by hand and then I added liquid pearls. I altered the chipboard with some Shimmerz Paints Texturez. The butterflies were stamped with Primas Romance novel and then pearls were added from Want 2 scrap.

Together Forever Wedding Layout

Happy Wednesday! Today I want to share a wedding layout of my son and daughter-in-law.This would be my oldest son and his wife. I cannot even tell you how many times this layout changed. The first time I thought I was ready to put it together, my poodle Lucy, got hold of the flowers laying on top and ate them. I was both mad and worried about her. So with those being the only flowers of that kind I had, I needed another plan. I did have three small doilies but when I glued the Together on, I noticed it was a lot more crooked than what I was comfortable with. So off came the small doilies. Anyway this seemed to be my nightmare layout, and now I am ready to post it. Of course, I now notice that the photograph was not a very clear picture. See what I mean? Well it's glued, so enjoy! I hope it inspires you!

Wedding Day Dusty Attic Carousel

I am back to scrapping after a 2-3 year break. My creativity had bottomed out and I knew it was time to take a hiatus. So I have been crafting for about 3 weeks now and working on the Dusty Attic Carousel I had purchased at Swirlydoo's about 2 yrs ago. I bought it to showcase a few pictures of my youngest son and daughter-in-laws wedding. I really enjoyed working on it, and at times I would just stare at it trying to think of what to do next. Happy Easter card

Well I should have posted this card a few weeks ago, but I have been working on so may projects that I haven't had time. Besides cards are never my first priority. I made this card for a challenge over at Swirlydoo's. It was the round robin challenge and I tied for first place. It's hard to take the credit when you are following others examples, but I was happy with the end result.
