Tag swap

I am in a tag/lace swap. This is my first tag. Only three more to go. I didn't plan on using black, but it really seemed to work better than green. I used my George and Basic shapes cartridge to cut the tag on my cricut. Most of the shapes were cut with punches I have had forever. I have never been big into tags. I am more of an ATC collector, so I decided to combine the two.  I love it! I have more room to add more things. Think I see more tags in my future! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a Happy New Year!!

Christmas of Wonder

Here is a layout of my adorable grandaughter. I love this picture and was looking for the right design. I found it when I saw Luzma's Christmas in Chile layout. I used Bo Bunny's St Nick collection. I love the colors! The border punches I used are Martha Stewart's Modern Garland and Doily Lace. The circles were punched with a Creative Memories punch. The tree was cut with the cricut using the shadow feature in Christmas Cheer. The poinsettias are made by Prima, and the letters are American Crafts Thickers. If you love my layout enough to leave a comment, please stop by Luzma's blog and leave her some love too! Thanks for stopping by!

Time with Grandma

I just finished this layout today. I used a a mishmash of Graphic 45 papers. There's Steampunk, Fashionista, On the Boardwalk, and Le Romantique. Wasn't sure I could make it work, but I love the end result. I used some of the wonderful chipboard cuts that I found in a scrapstore in Vegas. I love this clock and will have to find some more of this wonderful stuff! I added some border punching with the Martha Stewart quilted lace punch. The flowers were again made with my cricut using the George and Basic shapes cartridge. Except this time I cut three sizes for each flower. I always ink my flowers and then trace on them and add stamens. It may not look good when you are doing it, but it will look really nice when the flower is put together. The design is totally mine. It started out simple and then I just kept adding. Hope you enjoy it.

Windows to the Past

I finally have a layout to share with you. It was made for a Guest Design Team spot at  http://lizqualman.blogspot.com/. For the spot, you had to do a layout using the sketch she created. And what an awesome sketch! It was incredibly easy to work with. For this layout I decided to use some old family photos. They are pictures of my Great Great Grandparents. It's as if they knew they would be scrapbooked one day!!   I had to play with the photo of my grandmother, because my aunt had tried colorizing it and she looks a little rough around the edges. But all in al,l I love the pictures. With old pictures you have to use heritage type papers, and I chose Graphic 45's Renaissance collection. As always, I use the flip side of the graphics. I just love the colors and patterns! I added some black border punching to make it stand out. Gotta love Martha Stewart punches!! And lastly, I made the flowers with my cricut expression. I used the George and Basic Shapes cart. I cut the flower at two different sizes and layered. I think this layout came out beautiful! I hope you enjoy it!

Cricut Christmas Card

Here's a nice easy card to make. Not a whole lot to it, and I really love the elegance of it!! The snowflake is from the Winter Woodlands cart. For the punched border I used Martha Stewart's modern garland punch. Thanks for looking!

Christmas Card

So I finally made a Christmas card and believe it or not, that is all I accomplished today. I have really been in a slump! So to help myself get some mojo going I used sketch #14 from the Cardabilities blog. They have some really beautiful sketches, and you should see the cards the design team created! Absolutely gorgeous!!!

I did get to play with my copic markers. I don't have a lot of stamps that I can use the copics on, so I think I will be asking for some for Christmas. This was a very basic stamp but I think it turned out well. Thanks for stopping by!

Oh so tired

Trying to stay up to date, so here is another post. This layout is for my October scraplift challenge at Pages in Time. I scraplifted from the incredibly talented Janis Medina Maghinay. I used papers made by Best Creations. All the flowers, strawberries, and bird were cut out by hand from the patterned paper. I thought it turned out well. It's another flat layout and they don't seem to get as much attention. Oh well, I am tired of my albums being bulky. To each his own!

Well here is my latest.

Gold Marie Antoinette shoe

Well I am more behind than I thought. I totally forgot to post this. Like I said in my previous post, I have been very busy lately. On top of that I have pulled some muscles in my back and getting around isn't so easy. Anyway, this shoe should have been posted awhile ago. The pics don't do it justice. It's really a gorgeous shoe! My favorite of all I have done. Okay, here ya go!

Sugar & spice

Well it's been a long time since I posted last. Life has been very busy for me. Babysitting my grandaughter keeps me busy, and now my youngest son is home on leave from the Navy! Yay!!! Anyway, this is a DT layout of the October 14th sketch on the Pages in Time blog. With the exception of the Thickers, everything used was from the Pages in Time October kit of the month. I love this Bo Bunny collection! Well, I love all the Bo Bunny collections! I don't really have any fall pictures, so I used some pictures of my grandaughter. The pink might clash a little but I still love how it turned out. And the best part is that it is basically flat. No problem putting this layout in an album! Yayy!! Well here ya go. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by!

I have been playing the last few days trying to figure out how to use it. it's really not all that difficult if you go to cricut .com. There are lots of ladies who can give you advice and tips. Anyway, wanted to show you my first project. It's a paper bag album for my grandaughter. Hope you enjoy it.

Second Marie Antoinette Shoe

I wish you could see this one in real life. The black on the shoe is like flocking or velvet. It truly looks like something a royal would wear. I have thoroughly enjoyed this shoe swap and look forward to others.

Miracle

I love how this turned out. I used the punching technique I told you about earlier, and took it a little further to create this diecut from a 12 x 12 paper. I have the tutorial in my Punching Passion group at Pages in Time. Here is the link: Punching Passion Group .

Th papers and chipboard I used are from the Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection. Aren't they just beautiful! The flowers are made by Petaloo and Prima. Well, hope you come by Pages in Time this weekend, as we are having an online crop. Lot's of challenges, RAK's, games, and scrapping fun!

Christmas Basket

Made this basket for a holiday basket swap I am in. I have to make another for Thanksgiving, but wanted you to see my first creation. It is made out of 9x9 double sided cardstock. I think it came out beautiful, and very Christmassy. Is that a word?  Oh well, if it isn't I just made it one. LOL! Hope you enjoy looking at it! Thanks for stopping by!

Lil Angel

For this layout I used the So Sophie collection by My Mind's Eye. These papers were in the August kit of the month at Pages in Time. They are just beautiful! I also used the Thursday sketch which is posted on the Pages in Time blog. Again I used my new Martha Stewart punch called swirling lace. The other punch is the doily lace punch but it is starting to stick. May need a new one. All the flowers, leaves and bling are made by Prima. Now here's the sketch:

Cherish the Memory

Well, I goofed. I adhered before I was totally happy and I am stuck with something that doesn't look as good as it should. I wish I could have gotten the paper in the top corner off, but no such luck. I know better, but sometimes we goof anyway! I used the Bo Bunny Jazmyne collection for this lo and their chipboard. The flowers are made by Petaloo. Oh and before I forget, I used my new Martha Stewart swirling lace punch! I love it! I swear, by the time I die, my room will be nothing but punches! Thanks for stopping by!

Love of My Life

I used the Thursday sketch from the Pages in Time blog for this layout. The papers I used are from the August kit of the Month. I kept it very simple. I could have added a ton of embellies, but once in awhile simple is nice.   It's a layout of my husband as a baby, the love of my life! Thanks for stopping by!

Marie Antoinette ATC's

Well I joined another swap and this time I am making ATC's, and sticking with the Marie Antoinette theme. I am French, so it's like history in the making for me. LOL! Get the pun? Oh well, I tried. I always have fun making ATC's, but four at a time is my limit. Still have to make that other shoe, but I am itching to do a layout. so the next thing you see should be just that! Thanks for stopping by!

We Adore You

Another layout of my sweet grandaughter. I used two different collections from Bo Bunny. The Jazmyne and Sophie collections. Love these papers. All the chipboard is from the Sophie collection. I did some punching using the Floral Vine deep edge punch, and  the Modern Garland border punch by Martha Stewart. This is probably the easiest layout I have done in awhile. All that chipboard made it go together so easy, and I still have a bunch left! Well I'm off to start something else. Thanks for stopping by!

Marie Antoinette Shoe

Well here's something you won't see everyday. I am in a Marie Antoinette shoe swap. I have to make two shoes that are fitting for a queen. I have finished one and thought I would let you all take a look. I think the easy part was putting the shoe together. I had more trouble deciding what to decorate it with, but then my lace order came and it all came together. Hope you enjoy, as you will be seeing one more.
