August Kit of the Month @ Pages in Time

Wowzers! I love the kit Karen put together for August! The add ons are great too! All the papers are double sided and she put in some new My Minds Eye! The colors are just beautiful!! There is a new glass button, mica flakes that match, and a Prima felt stem, can't wait to play with my kit!!! The cost is only $26.96 plus shipping. You can also get add-ons. The flower add ons are $22.95 and the other add on is $18.95.  Make sure to stop by Pages in Time and get you one of these before they sell out!

Sweet Baby

For this layout I actually dug into some old paper stacks made by DCWV. I tend to like matching the colors in the photo to the colors in the picture and these papers matched perfectly. Used my trusty Doily punch made by Martha Stewart. Don't know what I will do when it doesn't work anymore. I love that punch! The blue flowers are made by Prima, and that orange one is an old one by Pink Paislee. Thought I'd try my hand at one of those banners and it came out pretty well. Wished I had put some paint on the paper before I adhered, but will try to remember it next time I use white paper as the background. Thanks for stopping by.

Princess Rock

This is another layout of my precious grandaughter. I used Creative Imaginations Melange collection along with some scrap Basic Grey and Tim Holtz paper stack. I used border punches which is pretty standard for me. A lot of the embellies were things that were leftover or RAK's from scrap friends. I might have overloaded the layout with them, but I kind of like the result. Plus I got rid of some of stash, but believe me, I have a whole lot more! Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Wonderful

Another layout of my grandaughter. You will be seeing lots of these. I used Bo Bunny and Me and My Big Idea papers. The chipboard heart with all the flowers on it is made by Technique Tuesday. The bottom layer of the flowers on the heart were cut with my cricut using the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I used a Bo Bunny patterned paper from the Peacock collection, and then doodled on them. The center of the flowers are Prima that I purchased at Michael's. The Bo Bunny papers, the chipboard heart, doily heart, and large purple flower were purchased at Pages in Time. As always there is punching on my layout. I love Martha Stewart punches! She keeps making them better then ever, and I want them all!  Also love the Bo Bunny papers! Can't have enough of them either!

Adorable

For this layout I was able to use the newly purchased picture of my grandaughter. You are going to see a lot more of Miss Adorable! I used the Thursday sketch:

Every thursday there is a new sketch and you can find the link on my sidebar.

The papers used were from the Bo Bunny Peacock Lane collection. One piece was from Glitz. The large purple and light purple flowers are made by Petaloo, and both the papers and flowers were purchased at Pages in Time. Karen sure does keep up with scrapbooking trends! The flourish in the top left corner was made by cutting several flourishes using my Home Decor cartridge and Design Studio. Then I cut it in half to fit in the corner.  Of course my favorite part of the whole thing is that adorable photo! Thank you for stopping by!

All Dressed Up

I finished another layout, but truthfully I feel like I am struggling lately. I cannot seem to be completely happy with anything I create. I am not saying I don't like them but cannot get the exact look I want. I suppose I just need to give it time.

This layout is a picture of my niece at Easter a few years ago. I used papers from the June kit of the month at Pages In Time. I was on vacation so I had quite a few papers leftover. Most of the papers used are made by Prima. I used my new serenade cricut cartidge again for the branch. To give the leaves a better effect I drew on them. Nothing fancy, just squiggly lines. I used the George and Basic Shapes cartridge for the flowers and used my white signo pen to draw on them. The butterflies were made with a Martha Stewart punch, and the frame was also a Martha Stewart punch. The two photo corners were from a dollar store purchase, and I used alcohol ink on them. The rest is pretty basic.

Here is the Thursday sketch:

Little Angel

This is a lo of my sweet grandaughter. The pattern papers are from the Pages in Time July kit. As always I went back to my stash for embellies, some of which were leftovers from previous kits. The chipboard shape was from the kit, and I covered it with one of the patterned papers. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch and then added stickles. The flourish is from my new cricut Serenade cartridge. Think I am going to love this cart. The design is a sketch by Designs by Robin. She has graciously been making sketches for the Kit of the Month group at Pages in Time. Because I only used one photo, I decided to add a circle. Here is the sketch:
