Believe

Well I hope everyone had a terriffic Christmas with friends and family. I had a wonderful Christmas and I am looking forward to a wonderful New Year!

Today I have a layout to share with you. I used December's Swirlydoo kit, and the sketch that came with the kit. Coincidentally, the sketch is a challenge at Swirlydoo's and this is an entry for it. The papers were a combo of Kaisercraft's Turtle Dove collection and their Just Believe collection. I did a lot of different things with this layout. I guess I should start with the cricut images. I used Winter Woodlands for the trees and then I added liquid pearls to them. The banner is from Birthday Bash. My banner is so small I didn't bother using any string. The snowflakes were made from the Winter Lace cart. I added stickles and then sprinkled some glitter on them. I did not like the glitter getting all over everything , so I then put glossy accents on them. In the picture it makes them harder to see but I'd rather a bad picture then have the glitter mess. The tiny squares for the title were made with Plantin Schoolbook. I used a couple different Martha Stewart punches. A snowflake one was used around the page and then there's the strip of flowers punch. I added some Dusty Attic, flowers, and bling, and this is what I ended up with.

I hope it inspires you while you do your Christmas layouts! Now I am off to start the next layout!

Smile and Say Cheese

Hello again! I have a layout to share. For the big circle I used a We R Memory Keepers punch, and for the black circle I used the new Martha Stewart circle punch. I love this new tool!! Oh it's a must have for sure! There's nothing really hard about this layout. I did overload it with flowers, but I tend to do that. I used some of the Prima resins. I so love the birds and birdhouses. Anyway, here is my layout. I hope you find some inspiration.

It's Been A Long Time

Hi all! It's been a long time since my last post. Life got very busy for me. We visited the mother-in-law and then my son was home from Japan for a month. I am trying to get some scrapping in before the holidays, which are almost upon us. I can't believe how this year has flown by. At any rate, I know my time for scrapping is still going to be limited, but I am going to do my best to play in my room!

Well, for this post I have a layout to share with you. I used my wonderful Swirlydoo's kit. The papers are from Prima's Romance Novel collection. Oh my is it ever beautiful! In fact, I loved it soo much I ordered two sets of the patterned paper. Some of the flowers are older Prima flowers that I had on hand, but I thought they suited the layout as well as the photo. I used some Spellbinder dies and Martha Stewart punches for extra layering. The leaves did not come with the kit. They are also something that I had on hand. The photo is of my son who just visited and his girlfriend. I think they make a cute couple! I hope you enjoy the layout and that you will be inspired.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Holidays!

Little Tink

Hello! Today I have a layout to share using the Bo Bunny Vicki B collection. It has been laying around forever in need of a title. Today I finally finished it. I lifted this design from Janis Medina Maghinay. I can't find her layout but I know I lifted it from her. I used one of my We R Memory Keepers punches and then used a white pen to make the design pop.The flowers were fussy cut from the paper.

The photo is of my granddaughter last Halloween.

An Angel from Heaven

I have another layout to share, and boy did I have fun with this one! It took on a life of it's own. The papers are all from my July Swirlydoo's kit. I mixed a couple of Pion papers with a Kaisercraft paper, and then added white cardstock. I started by using my We R Memory Keepers Fancy Scroll Lucky 8 punch. I then added silver liquid pearls along the edges. I wanted a little more so I added more liquid pearls in the centers. Next I cut one of the Pion papers down to a 10x10 piece sheet. I again used the same Lucky 8 punch. I added a Dusty Attic flourish. I used a green and silver smooch to get that color. The flowers are a mixture of Petaloo and Dusty attic, with one being so old I can't remember where I got it  or who made it. The butterflies are also from Petaloo. I used some Spellbinders for the flourishes among the flowers. I did add lace but you can barely see it now. I just kept adding and adding. I was planning on giving this layout to my son, but I just may have to keep it and put it in a shadowbox. I had a hard time getting a good picture, because the gray/bluish flowers kept coming out so dark. Anyway, this was the best picture I could get.

It's the Little Moments

Hello again! I have another Design Team post for Just Imagine Crafts. To find out which punches I used, please go to their blog. I used a sketch from Swirlydoos  and the monthly kit I get from them . This will also be my entry for their monthly Swirlyhues challenge. The photo is of my granddaughter last year when we were at the zoo. She loved watching the geese. The little things made her happier than the big ones.

Here's my layout:
