Love Award

The Love Award.......

I would like to thank my sweet friend Martica for mentioning my blog as a great blog to visit. You can visit her blog here, http://marticadesigns.blogspot.com/. Thank you so much sweetie... :)The award is aimed at bringing unknown good blogs to light, I am honoured to think that someone thinks my blog is good enough for this award and happily accept it. There are a couple of conditions to follow in accepting, and they are:

1. If you have been tagged, do you want to accept, then you have to create a post on your blog and post the love blog photo.

2. Choose 3-5 of your favorite blogs to tag, link these in your blog too and tell the lucky people they have been tagged.

There are lots of lovely blogs out there and its very difficult to choose, every blog deserves an award and I would love to pass this on to every blog I visit, but the aim is bringing unknown blogs to light and these 3 fab blogs are my choice.

Here are my favorite blogs that deserve to be mentioned:

1. My first pick is my sweet  friend Maggi. Visit her blog here, http://scraptravelbark.blogspot.com/. Her work is fantastic and you will love her blog!

2. Next is another sweet friend, Amarylis. You can visit her blog here, http://amadrian8.blogspot.com/2011/02/thursday-best-creation-gdt-work-travel.html. Her layouts are always amazing, and she makes a lot of her own flowers. I keep telling her to get published or go for a big company DT. Please help me encourage her!!

3. An amazing artist who can blend inks just as good as Tim Holtz himself! My sweet friend Shawn who never misses a visit to my blog! You can visit her blog here, http://poetryinapotoftea.blogspot.com/. Believe me, you won't want to miss her inking skills and tutorials!!

New Pocket

So, I totally scrapped the western themed pocket. I just did not like it. Did not feel good swapping that. So I found an image in my stash that I hadn't used yet, and I had a ball! I love making these kinds of things! I love vintage images and I love doing heritage layouts. Wish I could do them all the time! Anyway, that is why I do these swaps. I get to do what I really love to do!! And the bonus is I get to see other people's art who love it too! Well here is my new pocket.

Introducing the Cricut World Blog

I am excited to announce the debut of the Cricut World blog. Two years ago I started the Cricut's Creating thread on Scrapbook.com. We have all became great friends, and some of us have actually met in person a few times.  We are from all over, including one lovely lady, Lesley, who is from Australia. This past summer, five of us traveled to Vegas, and yes, Lesley was one of them. We have shared ideas and techniques and inspired each other so much, that we thought we should share with everyone. So we are starting our own blog, Cricut World, Chirps Heard From Around The World. Starting now, you can go by and see a few of our amazing projects.  Keep checking back everyday, as we are only letting you see a few at a time! Here's mine, but to get the details you have to go to Cricut World! Thanks for stopping by!

Whoo Loves Ya Baby

Here's is a layout using an owl chipboard diecut from 3TailsCraft. He is such a cutie! First I painted him but then I decided I didn't like how the paint looked. I decided to use glitter to cover up what I could. I got those adorable eyes with eyelashes at Michael's. I think they go well with the picture of my sweet grandaughter. I used my new Martha Stewart around the page punches. I love this set! The papers are made by Glitz and are from their Hoopla collection. The flowers are a mixture of Petaloo and Prima. I also used two stamps on this page. The lower right corner is a Bo Bunny stamp, and the butterfly in the top right corner is a punch that was given to me. Well hope you enjoy. Be sure to come back tomorrow. There's something happening!

Old Cowgirl Denim Pocket

Here's my second denim pocket for the swap I am in. Boy did this one give me trouble. I thought when I found this image that it would be easy to work with. But I had a vision and I just couldn't achieve it. I had no intentions of putting butterflies on it. I really wanted to keep it western, but I don't have anything like that. I do hope to change the handle to leather before I send it. But if not, it will have to go the way it is now. I really need your critique on this one! I don't want to send something that isn't great! Please give me feedback!
